Found Teaser!

Hey everyone! I thought I'd mix things up this week, and post a Found teaser. Be sure to check back next week for another Wrecked excerpt and a giveaway!

Note: I usually don't post teasers from my early drafts, but I figured you guys would like this one. :)

“Did you girls forget to invite me to the slumber party?” Jared came out of his room in just a pair of boxers.
Hailey covered her eyes. “Put some clothes on.”
“No thanks. Are you girls hungry? I want pancakes.”
     “Pancakes? It’s three a.m.”
“And pancakes don’t taste good at three a.m.?” He grinned.
     “I am kind of hungry…” I admitted.
     “Then come help, princess.”
I got up, forgetting how little I was wearing.
“Nice shirt.” He pulled out a griddle and turned it on. “Funny, I thought Levi was wearing it earlier.”
“At least I’m wearing more than underwear.”
“It’s my kitchen. I can wear what I want.”
I glanced at Hailey. She’d joined us in the kitchen. “And you wonder why I won’t move in?”

Wrecked Excerpt #1!

Hey everyone! Wrecked releases in less than six weeks, and I can't wait to share Emily and Jake's story! For now, here's the first excerpt.

He wrapped his arms around me. I leaned my head on his chest. It was strong—muscular, just the way it looked.
“When can I see you again?” he mumbled against my hair.
“I’m not sure.”
He moved away so he could look at me. “I thought we just established we both liked each other. We kissed—twice. Are you really doubting whether I’m getting a second date?”
“No. You’re getting a second date, I just don’t know when.”
“Oh. Okay, I can handle that.” He smiled, and I could see the relief on his face. “Are you working every night this week?”
“Unfortunately, yes.”
“And next weekend?”
“I’m going away. Back home actually.” I’d been looking forward to the trip for weeks.
“Oh, when do you get back?”
“Sunday, but I’m not sure what my schedule will be.”
“Can you at least promise me a date in the next month?”
I laughed. “How about in the next two weeks?” I wasn’t sure how I’d manage it, but I knew I would.
“Even better.”
“I should probably head back.” As great as the date was going, I needed to catch up on sleep.
“All right, let’s go.”
He held my hand the whole time, and entirely too quickly, we were standing by my car.
I reached for the handle.
“Not yet, there’s one more thing I need to do.” He leaned over again. This time his lips crushed into mine. He wrapped one arm around me while his other hand cradled my head. I moaned, and he took it as an invitation to deepen the kiss. There was nothing chaste about this one.
Normally, I would have been embarrassed to be kissing outside in the middle of the day, but I was too caught up in the moment to care. I reached my hand around to his back, slipping my hand just underneath his t-shirt to touch his warm skin.
After a few wonderfully intense moments, he broke the kiss and grinned. “Now that I’ve really kissed you, you can go.”
“You’re proud of yourself, aren’t you?”
“I’ve wanted to kiss you since I first saw you.”
“You were barely conscious.”
“That just makes it more impressive.”
I laughed. He made me laugh a lot more than I was used to. “You can do that again anytime.”
“Even now?”
“I’m going home, Jake.”
“Fine, but remember you said within the next two weeks. I’m holding you to that.”
Still spinning from the kiss, I made a decision. “Wednesday.”
“What about Wednesday?” He laced his fingers with mine.
“I get off at seven, and I can probably get here by eight. If that’s not too late...”
“I thought you weren’t free this week.”
“Yeah, well…some time opened up.”
“I knew I was a good kisser…”

Updates...again :)

I've had a lot of questions about release dates for the remainder of 2013. I'm still finalizing dates, but these three are set.

Wrecked (Clayton Falls)- April 30th
The Hazards of Skinny Dipping- June 11th
Found (The Crescent Chronicles #3)- July 16th

I should have set dates for Enduring Light and Corded soon. I can't wait to share all of these books in the coming months. Be sure to check back for tons of teasers and giveaways!

In other news, I'm excited to announce I'll be at New Adult Sleepover Weekend in Savannah, GA in December and Indie Girl Con in Charleston, SC in February. I'm really looking forward to both events!

The Hazards of Skinny Dipping Cover Reveal!

Hey everyone! Today I'm excited to reveal the cover of The Hazards of Skinny Dipping. This cover was designed by Once Upon a Time Covers!

Hazards is a New Adult Romance with lots of humor, and I am so excited to share it when it releases on June 11th!

This isn't a deep book about first loves or self-discovery. If you want a book like that, I'd be happy to recommend one, but I don't have that kind of story to tell. Instead my story is about rash decisions and finding out that your dream guy is bad in bed. It's the story of when I finally went skinny dipping, and how my life was never the same again. Oh, and it's also the story of my freshman year of college and realizing Mr. Right might have been there all along.

The Space Between by Victoria H. Smith

When Drake started the night at his father’s campaign fundraiser, he never imagined he’d end it being conned into buying drugs on the West Side. Losing high-stakes poker has its consequences, but he’d repeatedly face them just to hear Lacey Douglas sing. Drake sees Lacey light up the stage, and he has to have her. But his intentions for being on her side of town turn out to be the reason he can’t.

Chicago native Lacey has dreams of the opera, but life has its obstacles. Lacey has come to know her hardships as part of living in the real world and accepts them fully. When Lacey meets the intense and invigorating Drake, a fire is lit inside her, unleashing those dreams again.

Two paths that should have never crossed prove to create the exact pairing the other needs. But when their worlds take time to catch up, everything they have is tested. Finding the space between the two sides that challenge them will be hard, but it’s the only place that will keep them together.
