I've been having a lot of fun writing Focus. It's been great to return to Allie, Levi, and the rest of the group, and I've absolutely loved writing about Allie's first semester at college. It's impossible to write about fall in New Orleans without including Halloween. I have some really cool scenes planned out (including a steamy one with Allie and Levi), but I've hit a small problem—I can't decide on what costumes Allie, Hailey and two of their other friends should wear. After some thinking I realized that the best solution would be to have my readers help me the pick the costumes through a contest. Here are the details:
Comment below between now and Monday morning with a suggestion for an awesome costume that four girls (18-year-old college freshman) could wear. The girls can all go as the same thing, or just have four costumes that go together as a set.
On Monday I'm going to pick my three favorites and put it to a vote on what costume to use.
All three finalists win an eARC of Focus and swag.The winner also gets signed copies of both Flight and Focus AND a character named after them in Focus. (Open internationally)
There will be some giveaways during the voting early next week, so make sure to come back and vote on your favorite costume!

I thought long and hard on this and I finally decided what they should be. They should all go as Referees. They would all have different variations of the Referee outfits, of course. LOL :D
Wheew. okay. I have a few in mind.. For cute, maybe Disney Princesses (they wanna slutify it, then that could work lol) More badass I was thinking, Alice from Resident Evil. There's that one movie where there's like a ton of her. lol. So, they can just switch up the dress and shoes, and add fake guns/swords what have you. Totally badass.
1) restuarant characters.. like wendy from wendy's, clown from mcdonalds, king from burger king, and a cow for chick- fil- a (lmao. sorry couldn't think of another person. unless you go as captain D. .. . from captain d's) 2) star wars: yoda ,darth maul, darth vader, and a jedi. :D (sorry. love me some star wars) 3) wizard of oz: one dorothy, one tin woman, one lioness, and one scare crow lady. or the wicked witch and the good witch. but witches have been done. lol. you cold be The actual wizard of Oz.... maybe. 4)charlies angels and charlie..(not that we know what charlie looks like. lol) or boswell.. i think thats his name 5) video game characters: mario, luigi, yoshi and peach..or a mushroom instead of yoshi 6) there is always the TMNT turtles although that would just be way too onvious of a choice.
of course all of these options could be sexified. sexy- fired. lol. you can be a slutty yoda. lol. anyways. y friend says i got carried away... and i think i did. i am so sorry. lol.
Ok, so it might be a little on the corny side but how about as Harlequins? Not the romance novel type but Harley Quinn from Batman or Harlequin as in french court. Plenty of ways to play with colorful variations, fun, and sexy. Plus, it could totally play into the whole becoming royal and, connects with New Orleans. I just read Flight today and, I really enjoyed it. Can't wait for Focus!
Maybe they could go as a sexy girl rockband like The Runaways or The Bangles as a group. Each girl could go as a female superhero~ wonderwoman,batgirl,supergirl, & black widow.
Hmm maybe they could go as the Spice Girls or some other girl band? Or maybe they could go as sexy cops or some other form of law enforcement.They could dress up as their favorite sports team. Like if they all enjoy baseball or football they could dress up in the sexy uniform. Hope those helped! :)
